Book Rockpool Jewellery – Ocean‑Inspired Bespoke Jewellery in Whitley Bay
Rockpool Jewellery is a studio by the sea in Whitley Bay, creating hand‑crafted jewellery that celebrates the textures, stories and symbolism of the coast. Founded by designer‑maker Jo Hunt, the studio blends traditional handcraft with the ancient arts of wax carving and lost‑wax casting to create richly textured pieces in recycled precious metals. Many designs incorporate reused and traceable gemstones, giving characterful stones a new life as modern heirlooms.
Clients can book a consultation to discuss a bespoke design or to personalise an existing collection piece. Concepts are sketched or produced in CAD as needed, with collaborative refinements before making. Consultations can be held online (including via video calls), with studio meetings by arrangement. One‑of‑a‑kind ‘Treasures’ drops are released through the year, alongside ready‑to‑ship designs from signature collections such as Barnacle, Sandbank, Ocean, Bubble and Tidal.

Joanne Hunt | Founder, Designer & Jeweller
Rockpool Jewellery is led by Joanne Hunt, a British designer‑maker whose coastal studio and craft are shaped by a lifelong connection to the sea. Jo’s work captures waveforms, barnacles, sandbanks and tidal textures in precious metal, combining sustainability‑led materials (recycled metals, ethically sourced or recovered stones) with meticulous handcraft. Her approach is warm, collaborative and narrative‑driven, guiding clients from idea to finished piece with sketches, CAD visuals where helpful, and regular updates.
