Each piece is made by hand in her studio, using sustainably sourced gemstones that she personally selects.

Maria Thompson, founder of Maree London Jewellery, is a skilled British jewellery designer and maker with over two decades of experience in the craft. Her journey into jewellery began with a deep-rooted passion for sculpture and metalwork, which she developed during her formative years studying art. This creative foundation led her to pursue a BA in Jewellery and Metalsmithing at De Montfort University, where she graduated in 2001.
While originally drawn to large-scale sculpture, Maria soon discovered the intricate, expressive potential of wearable design — sparking a lifelong commitment to jewellery as both art and personal storytelling. Her sculptural background continues to influence her signature aesthetic: elegant, three-dimensional floral designs that are both timeless and distinctive.
Maria’s design philosophy centres on creating meaningful, handcrafted pieces that empower self-expression. Whether crafting a bespoke engagement ring or a delicate pendant, she approaches each piece with precision, patience, and artistic integrity.
