Jason Charles Jewellery is a trusted independent jeweller based in Sunninghill, Berkshire, specialising in fully bespoke, in-house jewellery design. Founded in 2006 by husband-and-wife team Jason and Rachel, the business grew from a shared passion for craftsmanship, creativity, and exceptional customer service.
With over 25 years of hands-on industry experience, Jason leads the workshop with expert technical skill and design insight—personally overseeing each bespoke commission to ensure every piece meets the highest standards. Rachel, an experienced, FGA-qualified gemmologist, supports clients with expert advice on gemstone selection, ensuring quality and confidence in every decision.
Their original store played a key role in shaping the brand’s identity, but it was their move to Sunninghill in 2011 that truly allowed Jason Charles Jewellery to thrive. Nestled in the heart of the village high street, the boutique provides a warm and welcoming space where customers can explore ideas, ask questions, and create something truly unique.
Today, the business is supported by a close-knit team of four full-time professionals, and their workshop undertakes thousands of repairs every year—reflecting the trust and loyalty they’ve earned from their community. Whether you’re designing an engagement ring from scratch or restoring a cherished item, the team combines traditional techniques with modern precision to deliver exceptional results.

Purchase
Fine jewellery – Wide array of silver and fine jewellery, covering a selection of earrings, rings, necklaces, and bracelets — book an in-store appointment to view the range that offers something for everyone
Bespoke
Technology and craftsmanship combined – The team leverages computer-aided design (CAD) software to curate exactly what you are after. Jason Charles’ expert goldsmiths will walk you through the bespoke experience step-by-step, incl. the option to print-out and try-on a 3D wax model prototype before committing to a full purchase
Repair & alterations
On-site workshop – when you go in-store, you will be talking directly to the individual that will make, repair, and restore your jewellery
Common repairs – diamond/gemstone replacement, bead/pearl re-stringing, watch batteries and strap changes. Whatever the issue, bring the item and the team will happily advise and assist
Valuations
Valuations and estimates for insurance and probate – all done in-house by Rachel. From the valuation, you will receive a very detailed certificate that describes each piece of jewellery including measurements of any stones and the 3 C’s for diamonds. The depth of these descriptions are a particular point of difference, as much so, that if, god forbid, you were to lose the item Jason Charles could remake it

Meet the team
Jason | Master Goldsmith — co-founder
With 35 years of experience as a master goldsmith, Jason took the traditional route into jewellery, training as an apprentice in Hatton Garden before brokers working at Edwin Brown Pawn brokers in Ealing where he furthered his training. He then moved to ACB Jewellery where he was manager for 16 years before taking over and establishing Jason Charles Jewellery with Rachel in 2006.
Jason takes immense pride in his work as our chief designer, blending traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques like CAD and 3D printing.
His passion for hands-on construction and attention-to-detail extends beyond the jewellery workshop – Jason is always immersed in other creative projects, whether it’s re-building custom cars or crafting charming shepherd’s huts.
Rachel | Gemologist — co-founder
With over 30 years of experience in the jewellery industry, Rachel brings deep expertise in gemmology and valuation to Jason Charles Jewellery. She began her career at the age of 15, working weekends in a local jewellery shop, and has since developed a well-rounded knowledge of the trade.
While her early training included hands-on bench work and management roles—most notably at ACB Jewellery, where she met Jason, and later at Anthony Paul Jewellery—Rachel has, in recent years, focused her career on the science and precision of gemstones.
She holds both FGA (Fellow of the Gemmological Association) and DGA (Diamond Member of the Gemmological Association) qualifications—two of the most respected credentials in the field. Her expertise in gemstone identification, analysis, and valuation plays a vital role in the bespoke design process, helping clients make confident, informed decisions.
Rachel’s eye for detail extends beyond gemmology—she also curates the shop’s signature window displays and selects unique pieces that reflect the quality and character of Jason Charles Jewellery.
Beverley | Goldsmith
Jasons’s dedicated fellow goldsmith for over 20 years, is his invaluable right-hand woman.
Started her career as an apprentice working for Jason at ACB Jewellery and has been a key part of the team ever since.
With her exceptional skills as a bench jeweller, Beverly expertly repairs, alters and restores a wide range of jewellery directly from the teams’ in-store workshop.
Unsurprisingly, given her hands-on talent, Beverley is an expert knitter outside of work, amazing everyone with her beautiful creations.
Kayley | Shop floor & social media assistant
The newest member on the team, Kayley takes charge of all things shop-related – she loves to help with window displays, choosing new pieces and talking to customers.
Kayley is also leading Jason and Rachel into the modern world, entertaining audiences with captivating Instagram reels and Tiktok posts.
