The Diamond Setter, based in the historic Pantiles of Royal Tunbridge Wells, is a family-owned jeweller specialising in bespoke engagement and wedding rings, heirloom transformations, and meticulous jewellery repairs. Founded by Gavin and Lorraine Marsh, the brand is built on a “Meet the Maker” ethos — celebrating the personal connection between jeweller and client, ensuring every commission is as unique as the story behind it.
With expertise spanning diamond setting, bespoke design, valuations, and repairs, The Diamond Setter offers a welcoming, unintimidating jewellery experience. Clients can book both in-person and online appointments, making it easy to co-design meaningful pieces with the team’s support and guidance.
In 2024, The Diamond Setter became the first in the UK to incorporate Osmium into jewellery, reflecting their innovative spirit and dedication to craftsmanship. Sustainability sits at the core of the brand, with recycled materials, closed-loop production, and local craftsmanship ensuring both responsibility and authenticity.

Meet the team
Gavin Marsh – Master jeweller and diamond setter with over 20 years of bench experience. Gavin trained in Hatton Garden, worked with Rolex, and later returned to the UK to launch The Diamond Setter. In 2024, he introduced the UK’s first collection of Osmium jewellery.
Lorraine Marsh – Co-founder, GIA-qualified jewellery professional and customer experience specialist. Lorraine ensures each client’s journey is enjoyable, accessible, and personal.
Meghan – Jewellery designer with JET certifications (Jewellery Education & Training) and a Level 3 Diploma in Jewellery Design & Manufacturing. Her designs reflect client stories and aesthetics with precision and creativity.
Philip Chown FGA DGA RJDip FNAG – Independent registered valuer with over 30 years’ experience, providing professional onsite valuations at The Diamond Setter every Saturday.
