Meet the team
Alma Sophia | Founder, Designer & Jeweller
Alma Sophia is a Norwegian-born goldsmith and jewellery designer, trained in both traditional craft and contemporary design. Her journey began at Plus Skolen in Fredrikstad, Norway, where she earned her Journeyman’s Certificate in Goldsmithing with Distinction, before graduating with First Class Honours in Silversmithing, Goldsmithing and Jewellery from the University for the Creative Arts, Rochester.
Her passion for jewellery began in childhood, collecting treasures from flea markets, the seashore, and her grandmother’s dresser. This curiosity evolved into a career dedicated to respecting materials, emphasising detail, and celebrating craftsmanship.
From her studio at Cockpit Arts in Bloomsbury, Alma creates sculptural jewellery that often begins with square tubes — a design language that has become her signature. Her work has earned numerous awards and grants, including recognition from the Goldsmiths’ Craft & Design Council and the Norwegian Goldsmiths Association. Today, she welcomes clients by appointment to collaborate on jewellery that captures both form and sentiment.
